Photograph caption dated November 6, 1956 reads "Russ Sutton, left, president of the Lancaster Optimist club, sponsors of the Alfalfa Bowl Junior College grid game, hands first pair of tickets to Paul Greenlee, art instructor at AV High school, who won design contest for Alfalfa Bowl symbol. Game, featuring two major California JC elevens, will be held on May's Field, Lancaster, at 11 a.m. Thanksgiving day."
