Photograph looking along San Bernardino's "D" street, showing the Library, ca.1905. Two railcar tracks are visible bisecting the unpaved street that runs through the center of the image, while horse-drawn carriages park along either side. the domed one-story building of the library is visibe on the corner of an intersecting street to the right, while other one- to three-story commercial buildings make their way along the length of "D" street, one of which on the far left sports a tower-style corner construction. Two pedestrians can be seen on the corner in the left foreground, while a bicycle and fire hydrant can be seen to the right. Utility poles line the sidewalks. Legible signs from left to right include: "[..]an Bros. Furniture Tel 518", "Furnished Rooms", "[...]rk and Vale. [...]gans", "Vale's Pianos" and "Seeds".
