Description: Ten thousand fans, including California Governor Earl Warren, greeted the Santa Clara Broncos football team on their return from winning the Orange Bowl in 1950. The Broncos defeated the higher ranked�Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 21 to 13. Two years later Santa Clara discontinued its football program, citing financial considerations.
