The Aliso Street Bridge is being completed on April 7, 1942. By fall it is to carry traffic over the Los Angeles River and down temporary ramps to Mission Street and Ramona Blvd. The project has been drastically changed to include clover-leaf ramps and to connect with the proposed Santa Ana Freeway. Work began in 1940.
