Description
Study model of the Titanic, from the movie "Titanic" by James Cameron. "Titanic" was a 1997 romantic drama film about the sinking of the RMS Titanic, which was directed, written and co-produced by James Cameron. It was released across North America on December 19, 1997 and grossed $28 million dollars in ticket sales in its first weekend; it wasn't until the new year that the film reached $100 million in sales. Although it is considered to be the costliest film of all time, with a budget of $200 million, it has generated over $1.8 billion (with a "b") in worldwide ticket sales. Titanic was nominated for fourteen Academy Awards in 1998, and won eleven, including Best Picture and Best Director. It is considered one of the greatest films of all time.
