At top of front page of invitation: Mexican flag, with green at left, eagle in middle, and red at right. "Oct. 16, 1894," written below flag. "1810 [-] 1894." Addressed to: "Sr. Bruno Gulnac y Pennas." In Spanish: "La Junta Patriotica Mexicana tiene el honor de invitar a Ud. para los Ejercicios Literarios y Baile que tendra lugar la noche del 16 del actual, en el 'Turn Verein Hall' en solemnizacion del 84 aniversario de la Independencia de nuestra patria. San Jose, 11 de Setiembre de 1894. El Presidente, Frank X. Hernandez. El Secretario, Juan D. Canelo." [Rough translation: The Mexican Patriotic Board has the honor to invite you to the Literary Exercises and Dance that will take place on the night of the 16th of this year, at the Turn Verein Hall in celebration of the 84th anniversary of the Independence of our country.] Inside invitation: "Mesa Directiva de la Junta Patriotica Mexicana. -- Presidente Honorario -- A.
