Description
Photograph of Madera Union High School, ca.1900. In the background, a small fence can be seen running from left to right. Behind the fence, a large structure can be seen with a crowd of people standing near the outside. To the far right, a set of stairs can be seen connecting to a side entrance of the building. Rectangular windows can be seen across the two wings of the structure. At center, three arches line the entryway. Men and women can be seen crowding around the arches in the image. Above the arches, a decorative segment in the shape of a triangle can be seen near several arched windows. Three students are visible sitting on the structure. Another large triangular segment is seen near the top of the building. At its peak, a tower-like structure can be seen with a wide, pointed top.
