Title supplied by cataloger. Influenced by L.A. 60s legends The Byrds and The Buffalo Springfield, The Bangles set themselves apart from other all-female bands of the era. Their blend of sixties-influenced folk rock and melodic vocal harmonies gained them major commercial and critical success with the songs, "Walk Like An Egyptian" and "Manic Monday." First photograph caption dated July 15, 1984 reads, "The Bangles, from left: Debbi Peterson, Michael Steele, Vicki Peterson and Susanna Hoffs. Says Vicki Peterson, 'We've played with enough male musicians to know that when you're in a mixed band, it's a different vibe.'"; Second photograph caption dated August 7, 1984 reads, "The Bangles, from left: Debbi Peterson, Michael Steele, Vicki Peterson and Susanna Hoffs, have a new album, 'All Over the Place,' that is full of verve and vibrant harmonies and heads this summer's Hot 10 list."
