Description
During their first official visit to Pepperdine University's new Malibu campus, Ronald and Nancy Reagan took part in the dedication of a redwood sapling, which was their contribution to the "Trees for Pepperdine" campaign. Here, Governor Reagan and Nancy Reagan stand with Pepperdine President William S. Banowsky during the ceremony. Reagan joked that they should wait ten years to put out the plaque given the diminutive size of the sapling.
