Description
Photograph of large roadway looking west, showing what will later be the site of the San Bernardino Freeway, 1930-1939. To the far left, a large roadway can be seen curving into the background. Three automobiles can be seen moving along the wide road. To the left of the road, a small home is visible. To the right of the road, a large ditch with clusters of vegetation growing along its bottom can be seen. Further to the right, a line of utility poles runs parallel with the road into the background. In the background at center, what appears to be either Soto Street or State Street Bridge can be seen extending from left to right.
