Photograph caption dated August 30, 1963 reads, "Carnival Aids United Nations Children's Fund. Fun wasn't the only thing on the agenda Wednesday when Camp Kinnert, Sylmar, held its eighth annual UNICEF Carnival. The Carnival, attended by more than 750 persons, was designed to raise funds for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund. Funds are channeled through the Valley association for the United Nations, Encino. Above, camp counselor Jeanne Varon, 21, Encino, watches children painting display booth during carnival activities. Camp Kinnert is a private camp."
