This is an audio recording of a series of panelists speaking about information technology. In this part, we hear from John Diebold, Andy Grove, and Sid Harris. Diebold focuses his talk on how the changes in information technologies, and other technological advancement, have affected society. Grove uses slides to demonstrate specific microchip transistor technology and how it has transformed computers over the recent past. He also discusses the future of that technology and what it means for information systems. Harris speaks about two important information trends. He says there is an increased impact of international competition and increased productivity in the services and manufacturing sectors.
