Description
Chaim Peri discusses his book, “Reclaiming Adolescents: A Return to the Village State of Mind.” Peri describes the Yemin Orde Youth Village for homeless children in Israel. He says that the school culture and home culture are separated and talks about the village state of mind and the aura of parental wholeness it creates. He goes on to discuss the “gap year,” his mother, the children, and deinstitutionalizing the institution.
