"Everyone of us comes into contact with the system of justice -- as it changes, so must we change our lives. From the passing of a law -- to the police enforcement -- to the courts -- to the jails -- the system is large, complicated, and affects us all. What we don't know can hurt us. Everyone should understand the judicial process; should know his or her rights and how to use them. We think that during the last 4 years, our democratic rights have been seriously damaged; we are coming together to try and understand what has happened and how we can change it. We hope you will come." Sessions held at Morris Dailey Auditorium, at San Jose State University.
