Description
Dag-0317. Three-quarters length portrait of artist in hat, coat and vest, carrying a walking stick. Thaddeus Welch came to California with his family in 1866. Known for his landscape paintings, especially for scenes of rural Marin where he lived from about 1894 to early 1900's. Also have photographic print and negative (no. 1674, 5x7 in.)
