An open-air market is held every Friday at 6th Street and Mesa Street, shine or almost rain. This was one of the ways to get people to come to the old town area in an effort for revitalization. Along with "First Thursdays" (on the first Thursday of every month, the artists in the area open their studios to the public), it has drawn neighbors to spend time in this older community. Here a one-man band entertains people by playing his guitar and harmonica simultaneously; a tip jar with a few dollar bills can be seen on top of a black brief case.
