Description
This tape consists of a double episode of "Inside Cal Poly Pomona" that was hosted by the then Director of Public Affairs, Stanley Herbert III. Episode number three features three distinct segments that cover emergency preparedness, student enrollment, and the CPP Alumni Inreach Program. The first segment is an interview with Debby McFall, Emergency Service Coordinator, and Nancy Levandowksi, the manager of Los Olivos Dining Service, which discusses emergency preparedness and drills. The second segment consists of an interview with the director of Developmental Outreach, Will Wright, about topics such as Cal Poly Pomona's attractiveness to students and Admission Days. The last segment is an interview with Ron "Mr. Cal Poly" Simons in which he answers questions about the history of Cal Poly Pomona and the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch. Episode number four features two distinct segments. The first is an interview with Carrie Rohlfirg, Director of Alumni Affairs, and Barbra Jean Bruin, class of 1986 and Lecturer of Hotel Management at the university. They discuss the Alumni Inreach Program. The last segment is another interview with Ron "Mr. Cal Poly" Simons in which he answers questions about the history of the iconic Cal Poly Pomona letters found by the hills of Cal Poly's Campus and university's involvement in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA. The episode includes shots of Arabian horses near its conclusion.
