A woman, joined by musicians, hangs a sign provided by the Automobile Club of Southern California, identifying the location of the Olympic marathon course nearby. Two other signs offer the distances to where other Olympic venues are located. The marathon started and ended at the Olympic Stadium (the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum).
