Photograph caption dated July 11, 1964 reads, "The Chatsworth Junior Women's Club is obtaining signatures on petitions to save oak trees of great age and beauty, which will be destroyed unless the present plan for rerouting Santa Susana Ave. in Chatsworth is changed. The oak trees are located at 10870 Santa Susana Ave. and adjacent thereto. Hard at work on the project are, from left, Mmes. Bruce Magill, James Cicchi, and Garvin Aulepp. Mrs. Wallace McKay, conservation chairman, reports that the recent drive to obtain additional signatures held outside Hughes Market in Chatsworth was a success. Other club members participating are Mmes. Robert Armstrong, John Vogelsang and Keith Watts."
