Description
Photograph of an exterior view of houses moved off their foundations, San Francisco, 1906. A cobblestone street lies across the foreground with the houses standing on the far side. The houses on the far left and right stand upright, perpendicular to the street, but the two houses at center lean heavily to the right. Their left sides rise up as their right sides drive into the ground. The top left side of an upright house on the right has been crushed as the leaning house on the right rests against it. Two men in suits and hats observe the damage from the sidewalk on the left.
