Description
The photo caption published in the Sacramento Bee on June 26, 1968 states: "The State Division of Highways has relocated in the northwest quadrant of the big interchange between W and X and 29th and 30th streets more than 30 large palm trees. The trees, some of them several decades old, were stored in a tree bank at 34th and T Streets while the interchange was being built. Now they lend an oasis-like charm to the otherwise bare earthen sweeps of the interchange."
