Description
Photograph of crates of citrus in a cooling room in the San Fernando Heights Orange Association, August, 1936. Boxes labeled "Splendor" sit on their sides in stacks in the foreground on the left while others sit beneath the wooden stations at center. The stations have what resemble cylindrical spools at their ends and seem to be the cooling systems in the room. More boxes are stacked beneath the large, arched windows on the back wall. Thin pipes reach across the ceiling from wall to wall with lightly-colored lights hanging from them.
