Four men are pictured wearing fez-style hats embroidered with "Sciots 43." They are holding a large envelope and letter from Long Beach Pyramid No. 43, A.E.O.S., 425 East Broadway, Long Beach, Calif. It's addressed to George J. Kasch, Toparch San Francisco Pyramid No. 1, 610 Mills Building, San Francisco, Calif. Dated September 8, 1930. In the letter the Long Beach chapter challenges the San Francisco chapter to a membership campaign. The letter states in part "that it is the largest letter ever mailed in the world." Signed by Oliver Peacock, Walter B. Scott, George Alottrell and Jack Horner (are they the men in the photo?). The photograph was taken from the interior of the Long Beach post office.
