Photograph of orange groves in Southern California, ca.1910. Bare trees stand among dry grass and pebbles in the foreground while the groves flourish with dark leaves behind them. A road divides the groves on the right while another road winds around the left edge further back. Several houses stand along the edge of a wide field that lies on the opposite side of the second road. The road continues into the wooded background on the right with more rows of orange groves blanketing the hills on the left.
