Photograph caption dated July 26, 1956 reads, "Northridge grows in quiet setting - Thoroughbred yearlings graze on rolling meadow of Northridge Farms, largest and one of last remaining large horse ranches in West Valley community of Northridge. Area is famed for race horse breeding even today, although many large ranches are giving way to subdividing home builders. Ranch was once owned by motion picture stars Barbara Stanwyck and Zeppo Marx under name 'Marwyck Stables.' Community is still favorite of outdoors-loving members of movie colony. Ranch is now owned by J. H. Ryan who lives on hilltop home at back of photo."; See images #00111229 through #00111234 for all photos in this series.
