Description
This circa-1940 photograph looks to the east side of Tenth Street, between J and K streets. The monument-style structure in the center of the photograph is the nearly-finished American Trust Company Building. After completion, the one-story building boasted 18 teller windows. Other notable structures in the picture are the Plaza Building at 921 Tenth Street, the Hotel Argus at 1017 Tenth Street, Kodak Printing and Developing, and Central Drug Store at 1000 J Street.
