Description
The airplane hanger of (Joe) Lewis Aviation Service with pilot's name (F.W. Rehbock) printed underneath at Long Beach Municipal Airport. Above the hanger is a flag or banner which may be a type of wind sock. To the left is the Long Beach Gas Department natural gas tank (built in 1927 demolished in 1997). Another unnamed aircraft hangar can be seen to the right of Lewis Aviation, followed by the hangar for the O'Donnell School of Aviation and another hangar for Continental Air Mapping Company. Three aircraft are visible as well as a number of people as well as automobiles. DATE NOTES:1929. ORIG. IMAGE:8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: yes. KEYWORDS: car, aviation
