Photograph article dated November 25, 1961 partially reads, "It was a low-scoring game, as basketball goes. The visiting Valley squad, despite a half-time lead and a last-second basket, was edged by Los Angeles, 14-12. Victory meant a city championship and an undefeated season to the Los Angeles players. They had won all four of their scheduled games... During the game, not one point scored came easily to either team. For all the boys were playing in wheel chairs." Photograph caption reads, "Basketball from wheel chairs offers fun and important exercise to students from Valley branch of Widney High School for the Handicapped (dark shirts) and the Los Angeles branch. Center tip-offs (left), deadeye set shots (center) and careful coaching (right) were featured." See images 00154350 through 00154353 for all photos in this series.
