Description
Madame Sylvia Wu discusses her book, “Madame Wu’s Art of Chinese Cooking.” She begins by explaining that her book shares recipes from her restaurant in Santa Monica, California. She talks about her ‘long life diet’ that omits the use of oil, salt, and sugar in recipes. She cooks several different recipes including healthy ginger chicken. Madame Wu discusses how she learned to cook while living in New York City. She makes Wu’s Beef, which is one of the most popular dishes in her restaurant. She talks about how she gives cooking classes at her restaurant and shares some tips to perfecting Chinese cooking. She ends the interview by talking about different Asian dishes she serves in her restaurant including Cantonese and Mandarin recipes.
