Description
This is a photograph of a "man who was formerly a high official. He is now Fr. Hewitt's language teacher. He was baptized at Pentecost 1933 and his mother at Pentecost 1934."
Born in Maryland, Fr. Hewitt came to Maryknoll in 1921 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1930. He worked in Fushun, Manchuria for sixteen years and then in 1946 was assigned to the faculty at the Venard minor seminary. He worked in the promotion department and was appointed controller of the public relations department. He retired in California.
