Photograph of the painting "Pastorale" by an unknown artist, depicting a shepherd and a young maid resting in the forest, [s.d.]. The young shepherd sits on a stone to the left, holding his staff and wagging his finger at the sleeping, bare-chested maid laying on the ground to the right, just in front of the sheep. Their belongings are strewn around the scene: a hat, a purse, another staff and a garland. The forest is visible to their left, while past a dip to the right, rolling hills can be seen through a clearing in the brush.
