Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing refugees in front of a damaged building, 1906. Men and women in dark clothes gather at center on the cracked sidewalk in front of a large, damaged building. The people sort through supplies while their carriages stand on the far left and electrical poles stand overhead. The building on the left has a tall, wide staircase leading to its column-guarded entrance. It shows very little damage while the building on the right has gaping holes in its exterior walls.
