Description: San Pedro still has little markets left over from an earlier era that are within walking distance of each of its neighborhoods. This Colonial Market caters to both American and Latin customers and is located on Palos Verdes Street, between 10th and 11th streets. The banners above the door read: "Super Lotto" and "American foods. Beer, wine & meat. Carnitas. Libros y revistas. Money orders. We accept food coupons". The Ships Inn Hotel next door to the market is a reminder of the time when Beacon Street was known for its bars and run down hotels. Photograph dated April 2001.
