Description
Lisu Turban which consists of two parts: the inner wrap is made from simple black synthetic cotton fabric; the second wrap section will be wrapped over the first in a criss-cross style. A long ornamental array of beaded strings and yarn is attached to the back right side of the turban. This tassel is brought to the front of the turban to be wrapped underneath the front dip, is wrapped again to the back left before being strung over to the back right to hang stylistically. The ornamental tassel consists of one Indian rupee from 1907, commercialized cowrie shells, plastic buttons, glass beads , plastic beads, and magenta, pink, green, blue, red, orange, yellow, and black, cotton yarns turned into pompoms.
