Description
Panoramic view of Coronado showing scattered shacks and lot stakes in an old photo. The entire peninsula of Coronado was purchased by H.L. Story and E.S. (Elisha) Babcock, who developed it through subdivision and lot sales. They were the visionary founders of the Hotel del Coronado, which opened in 1888.
