Photograph article dated May 7, 1965 partially reads, "The Johnny Strong Circus is a wonderful world of magic, clowns and trained animals. For years, the little circus of 10 acts has made the rounds of Valley schools, entertaining both young and old. This week the circus played to the May Spring Festival sponsored by Chandler Street School PTA in North Hollywood. The playground was abound with unusual excitement. Children ate cotton candy, peanuts and popcorn, and waited for the show to begin. A round of applause rang out as 'Neena,' the elephant, the main attraction of the show, made her grand entrance with her mistress, Linda Strong. Enrapped expressions covered the faces of children and 'oohs' and 'ahs' were heard as each new act performed some daring new feat." Photograph caption reads, "Enrapped expressions cover the faces of Valley children as they watch the magic and merriment of the circus world."; See images #00139134 through #00139138 for all photos in this series.
