Description
Photograph of a ski jump in the mountains, ca.1930. Spectators gather as a woman makes her way down a snowy slope. At the top of the hill, one can see a crowd clustered around a constructed platform. To the left of the ski slope, people are scattered, watching or walking about in the snow. An American flag is hung from a tree near the platform, and another can be seen in the shadows of the lower left corner. In the bottom right corner, a few people kneel in the snow with their eyes on the ski jump. The background is composed of tall trees bursting out of the snow-crusted ground.
