Description: View of a small wooden shack, young trees and two young men lounging in front, with open land all around them. The boys are possibly members of photographer William H. Fletcher's family. Fletcher also had a residence on Calumet Avenue in Los Angeles (see related item).
Title and date devised from note on verso. "W. H. Fletchers ranch at[?] San Fernando Valley 1893."--text, handwritten on verso. Photographer William H. Fletcher came to Los Angeles in 1885. (Carl Mautz, Biographies of Western Photographers, p. 100.)
