Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Opened on June 10, 1938, by the Hollywood Turf Club, Hollywood Park was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park on March 13, 2012. It was a thoroughbred and standard bred race course. The racetrack was closed after the final race on December 22, 2013. Photograph caption date stamped June 17, 1961 reads, "First Balcony, winner of the $112,700 Californian for Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Schulze, will try to increase his bankroll in the $50,000 added Inglewood Handicap today at Hollywood Park. Eddie Burns will pilot him in the mile and one-sixteenth feature."
