Description: During the 1954 Miss Universe Pageant in Long Beach, Amore Asvananda of Thailand stands in front of a large clam shell and waves from her float as it rolls down Ocean Boulevard, being pushed by a uniformed sailor. Her float has a sign which reads: "Golden State Dairy Foods." Crowds and apartments are visible in the background. DATE NOTES: From photographer's notes. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print.
