Van Dusen, vice president Sherman Oaks Savings and Loan Association, explains workings of the Association's new electronic time and temperature clock to former district governor of Rotary, Leland P. Smoot, seated, and Newton Silva, manager of the State Bank in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as Joseph N. Chase, president of the Association, looks on. Silva, member of Finance Committee of Rotary International, has been studying operation of savings and loan associations and banks in Southern California. Van Dusen and Chase, who are both active in Rotary locally, took Silva on tour of Sherman Oaks Savings as a representative savings and loan association."
