Description
With the new mobile x-ray unit purchased in 1943, the Tulare County and the Kings County Tuberculosis Associations is prepared to conduct a year round case finding campaign. The unit is a completely equipped clinic with x-ray, dark room and film developing facilities. The funds contributed to the purchase by the tuberculosis associations were derived from the sale of Christmas seals. Voluntary assistance has been offered the tuberculosis association by the Visalia Chapter of the American Red Cross Motor Corps. The members of this association have been trained to drive the mobile unit to and from survey locations. The first survey in Tulare County will be of the civilian employees at Sequoia Field.
