Description
View across the expanse of lawn in the State Normal School quadrangle. In the center is the tower and to the right of the tower is the auditorium. To the right and left is part of the colonnaded arcade that surrounded the quadrangle. The structure was built of reinforced concrete to replace the building destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. It opened in September 1910. The tower and auditorium have survived, but the arcade was demolished in the 1960s.
