Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 26, 1965 reads, "Monica, 7, and Paul McWhirter, 9, students at Germain Street School, 20730 Germain St., Chatsworth, play with a portion of a doll collection belonging to their mother, Mrs. David McWhirter. The collection will be on exhibit during open house from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Monica's toy is DeRoousho's Chinese Doll. DeRoousho was beheaded for violating the Chinese custom forbidding anyone to reproduce the true Chinese expression on a doll.
