Cork Oak tree 42.5" at 2 ft. on the old Harlan place owned by Mrs. Walter Taylor, 1189 Montgomery Street, Oroville. The two trees here were planted near an old stage station about 1880 when the property was being developed as a show place. It is poor, shallow soil of the Rocklin series. Blue oak type. Tree produced moderate crop of good acorns. November 1942. Metcalf
