On back: "The staff, students and parents of John Muir Children's Center gave special tribute to our black cultural heritage at a Black American Day Program 'Black Montage' on March 5. The children in original costumes made by teachers, parents and children sang spirituals, did creative dances, modeled their costumes and read ethnic poems. The program was attended by many parents and friends. This special day was made possible by Thomas Aspell - Head Teacher, Erin Bouma, Beatrice Duke, Abraham Garrett, JoAnn Perry, Vera Williams - Teachers and Willie Loggins, Betty Brown and Alan Cogen - Aides.
