Close-up of Gaston Chevrolet superimposed on a photo of Chevrolet in a race car. Chevrolet was a French-born American race car champion driver and automobile manufacturer. Gaston was the brother of Louis Chevrolet, founder of the Chevrolet car company. In 1920, while competing in the last race of the season on the board track at the Beverly Hills Speedway, Chevrolet was killed when his Frontenac crashed on lap 146 of the 200 lap race. The word 'Cheverolet' is printed on the front of the photograph.
