"Tahiti - Ecole des Jeunes Filles de Papeete." ("Tahiti - Girls School of Papeete.") Seventy-one children and four adults pose for a photograph in front of a two-story building with a metal roof. Most of the children are Tahitian, some are European. The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "Societe des Missions Evangeliques, 102, Boulev. Arago, Paris." The Société des Missions Evangéliques was a Protestant organization known in English as the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society.
