Description
In the center of this image stands the giant oak tree of Claremont planted in 1883 by John E. Packard. Surrounded by buildings and near a well-traveled intersection, it was purchased by the Pomona Ebell Club in 1922. Its commemorative plaque is captured in image 00067768. Photo dated: April 8, 1937.
