Photograph article dated December 15, 1960 partially reads, "There are almost as many opinions about college sororities and fraternities as there are about politics. Supporters feel the Greeks are a decidedly good influence on college campuses. Opposite factions feel they breed prejudice and discrimination, snobbery and intolerance. 'Middle of the fencers' feel they do a little of both. Mrs. Malvin Walden, president of San Fernando Valley Panhellenic Association, belongs to the first group... Nola Stark Cavette, dean of women at UCLA, feels sororities and fraternities have been a good influence for school spirit and activities on her campus." Pictured is Ms. Cavette.
